Araucaria
Dioic conifer with cilindric trunk and horizontal branches. Evergreen dark green needles, thick and 3-4 cm long, oval or triangular, covering all the branches and the trunk, during the first years. Male flowers grow grouped, femenine ones grow single. Cones initially are green, then become brown and drop seeds, usually after 2-3 years. Grows well in humid areas, in light, fertile, fresh and very permeable soil.
