Sorbus
Genus of tree with round and dense crown, available both as ornamental tree and as fruit tree. Leaves made up by 12-16 toothed leaflets. Flowers in May-June with clusters of white flowers, whil th fruits are light red, very attractive to birds. No particular growing requirements, but it prefers rich soils. Used alongside mountain and hill streets in Europe because of its sparse foliage and because it withstands cold.
