Morus - Mulberry

The available variety of this genus are M. alba and M. platanifolia. The former has elongate green leaves, small flowers joined in hanging corymb, that blossom in May-June, and white or pink edible fruits. The latter has trilobated leaves 20-25 cm long, greenish flowers that blossoms in April-May, and red fruits that eventually turn black. Both varieties prefers poor and calcareous soils, are used in large gardens and parks.
